This tattoo is a long awaited cover-up of a tattoo i've had for years... It signifies different aspects of me...aspects I know or am learning about myself.
Koi fish are representative of courage, perserverence in adversity, and strength of purpose...swimming in opposite directions as the pisces symbol for the sign I was born under- they depict the struggle of the soul within. The attributes of the tiger are strength, purity, beauty and passion. Being born in the year of the tiger means you are capable of great love. The cherry blossoms (or sakura) in japan symbolize the renewal of life; both a promise and a mystery..... I was born on the first day of spring- the "sakura" season.
